Vaccine appointments to expand on Monday; 98 new cases, 166 recoveries, two deaths

The Saskatchewan Health Authority Patient Booking System will include individuals 70 years of age and older in all parts of the province and residents 50 years of age and older in the Northern Administrative District starting on Monday at 8 a.m.

  • Residents 50-69 years of age in the Northern Administrative District can only book their appointments by phone at this time. Call 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829) between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Northern residents 70+ can utilize either the online to telephone booking system.

Vaccine Report

An additional 2,220 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan as of Sunday, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 102,415.

The 2,220 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered in the following regions: North West (410), North Central (320), Central East (six), Saskatoon (924), and Regina (560).

Daily COVID-19 Statistics

There are 98 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on March 14, bringing the provincial total to 30,620 cases.

Two Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. The deaths were reported in the 20-29 age group in the Regina zone and the 80+ age group in the Far North West zone.

The new cases are located in the Far North East (six), North West (three), North Central (one), North East (two), Saskatoon (25), Central West (two), Central East (15), Regina (27), South West (six), South Central (four) and South East (six) zones. One (one) new case is pending residence information. Five (five) cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North West (four) and Regina (one) zones.

There are a total of 28,814 recoveries and 1,399 cases are considered active.

One hundred thirty-one (131) people are in hospital. One hundred and two (102) people are receiving inpatient care: Far North West (two), Far North East (one), North West (nine), North Central (seven), Saskatoon (44), Central East (five), Regina (32), South Central (one) and South East (one). Twenty-nine (29) people are in intensive care: North West (one), North Central (one), Saskatoon (13), Central East (two) and Regina (12).

There were 1,752 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Saturday.

To date, 610,593 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan. As of March 12, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers were available, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 513,342 tests performed per million population. The national rate was 678,534 tests performed per million population.

There are 80 active cases of COVID-19 in Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central, Athabasca (11), Far North West (two), Far North East (61), and North East (six); 3,183 cases (97%) have recovered, and three people are currently in hospital.
