Trauma- and Violence-Informed Care for Reducing Stigma Related to STBBIs
THURSDAY AT 10 AM CST – 11 AM CST there will be an online event to discuss Trauma- and Violence-Informed Care for Reducing Stigma Related to STBBIs.
Trauma- and violence-informed care (TVIC) is an important framework for the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) because of the many different ways that stigma, trauma, sexual health, and substance use are connected.
This webinar is directed to health and allied health professionals along with frontline service providers working with clients living with or at risk of STBBIs. The webinar will introduce the Canadian Public Health Association’s Trauma- and Violence-Informed Care Toolkit and explore ways you can incorporate it into your practice.
This Toolkit will help individuals and organizations apply the principles of TVIC and monitor and evaluate their progress.
