Prince Albert Northern Bears forward Haley Kicia will wear a crown by next year. She will join the Queens hockey program at Red Deer College, having committed on Tuesday.

Kicia has been on the Bears since 2017, having scored 14 goals and 22 points in 87 career games. Kicia is on pace for her best season by far this year, with three goals and five points in four games.

There will be at least one familiar face for Kicia when she joins the Queens, as former Bears teammate Alli Soyko is already on their roster.

Kicia becomes the third current Bear to commit to a hockey team at a post-secondary school, with Rhea Peterson agreeing to terms with Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan, and Paris Oleksyn set to join the University of Saskatchewan Huskies program next year.
