UPDATE: The Big River RCMP are reporting Jayden Crookedneck was found dead Sunday afternoon. They would like to thank the public for their help.

Big River RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Jayden Crookedneck.

Crookedneck was last seen by his family while walking with two relatives in Big River on Saturday at around 2 a.m. on Main Street.

Crookedneck left the group to go towards the Big River boat launch—and his family has not heard from him since. RCMP said they received a report of Crookedneck walking north on Mill Avenue at 2:30 a.m.

Crookedneck’s family and Big River RCMP have been searching the 17-year-old and are worried for his well-being, the RCMP said in a statement on Sunday. Crookedneck, who hails from the Whitefish First Nation, is not dressed to spend a long period of time outside.

Jayden Crookedneck is described as an Indigenous 17-year-old male of slim build. He is approximately 6’2″ (188 cm), 170 lbs (77 kg). He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt with a hood and the word Tupac in the front, slim grey pants with cargo pockets, and no jacket.
