Jan 2, 2021 | 1:03 PM
Saskatchewan can expect warmer than average weather to kick off the new year.
The forecasts in southern and central Saskatchewan show highs hovering around the 0 C mark.
David Baggaley, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, said that is well above the average for early January. Normally, highs would be close to -10 C.
“We’re looking at temperatures getting pretty close to the freezing mark, one way or another. That’s quite a bit above normal,” he said.
