P.A.’s Schneider and Raiders’ Guhle both make Team Canada’s World Junior team
Prince Albert’s Braden Schneider of the Brandon Wheat Kings and Prince Albert Raider blue liner Kaiden Guhle have both made the final roster for Team Canada for the upcoming IIHF World Junior Championship on Canadian soil in Edmonton Dec. 25 to Jan. 5.
Schneider and Guhle both have been in camp with Team Canada since Nov. 16, and both were in isolation due to an outbreak on the team from Nov. 23 to Dec. 7.
They both find themselves on the eight-man blue line, along with fellow WHL’ers Bowen Byram of the Vancouver Giants and Yorkton’s Kaedan Korczak of the Kelowna Rockets.
The pair of Prince Albert-linked defencemen were both selected first in this past NHL Entry Draft, with Guhle going 16th overall to the Montreal Canadiens and Schneider selected 19th overall by the New York Rangers.
