Mentoring the next generation of ag leaders
MELFORT, Sask. – An agriculture mentorship program will have the funding in place to continue for two more years.
The federal and Saskatchewan governments will provide $200,000 for the Next Gen Agriculture Mentorship Program (Next Gen).
The objective of the program is to develop young leaders and prepare them to take on active roles in industry leadership, governance, and efforts to build public trust.
Each applicant is paired with an established member of the agriculture industry. The hope is to increase engagement between experienced professionals and the next generation of industry leaders.
