Alleged cop car thief doesn’t show for first court appearance
A woman accused of taking a Prince Albert police vehicle for a joyride did not make her appearance in court today.
Tashina Sky Ermine, 34, was scheduled to make her first court appearance Monday afternoon at Prince Albert Provincial Court, but when her name was called out Ermine was not present and there was no one there to speak on her behalf.
The incident happened on Nov. 27, around 7:30 a.m. The vehicle, which was taken from the police station parking lot, travelled about 17 blocks before crashing into a snowbank.
According to court records, Ermine was released from custody the same day on the condition she appear in court on Dec. 7. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest.
