NLSD moves to mandatory remote learning when classes resume after holidays

All schools in the Northern Lights School Division will transition to mandatory remote learning effective Jan. 4, 2021.

That’s according to a letter from the school division released Dec. 1, which states students will remain on Level 4 of the Saskatchewan Safe School Plan until Jan. 18. Administration is asking for patience as staff make the shift to Level 4.

“Please note that this may evolve by emerging health risk assessments as determined by the Saskatchewan Health Authority,” the letter states. “Thank you for your understanding as our schools make this shift and your continued support as we navigate this pandemic.”

The school division also wants parents to know there are supports available and staff are dedicated to adapting quickly to ensure student learning is maintained.
