Schmalz re-elected RM of Prince Albert Reeve

Editor’s note: results are not official until 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

It appears rate payers in the Rural Municipality (RM) are happy with the job Eric Schmalz has done so far.

The former RCMP officer has been elected to a second term as reeve, following Monday’s election results.

Schmalz had roughly 200 more votes than challenger Wayne Acorn (280 to 75).

Meanwhile Guy St. Hilaire was elected councillor in Div. 3 and Colin Sheldon was elected councillor in Div. 5.
