The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) responded to a number of incidents between Friday and Monday including a report of an aggravated assault and a break and enter.

According to a media release from PAPS, on Monday at 8 p.m., they were called to the 600 Block of Marquis Road for an alleged stabbing incident. The report received by police was a man threatening another with a knife.

A 19-year-old man experienced non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

As a result, police arrested 37-year-old Vernon Buffalo and he was charged with aggravated assault. He appeared in court today by phone and will make his next appearance tomorrow.

PAPS did not disclose the name of the business in their media release but a photo posted to Facebook showed several police vehicles outside Bailey’s Lounge.

In a separate incident around midnight on Friday night the PA Police Crime Suppression Team arrested two men at a business on the 100 Block of 13th Street East inside the businesses fence compound.

Police noticed the footprints leading them inside where they found the men. They arrested a 32-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, and they have been charged with break and enter with intent. The 40-year-old is also facing charges of breach of probation in relation to the file.
