McAdam murder case committed for trial

The court case surrounding the death last year of Cody McAdam has been committed for trial.

Bryce Bird, 20, faces a charge of second-degree murder.

No pleas have been entered at this stage and a trial date has not been set. At a provincial court hearing last Monday, Bird’s lawyer elected for the case to be tried by judge alone at Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench.

In February 2019, McAdam was found in a midtown alley suffering from a serious injury.

He was transported to a Saskatoon hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Friends and family of McAdam have described him as an excellent cook and family man. McAdam was a father of two young daughters.
