Bears and Mintos to be back on the ice

Pre-season games set for P.A.’s AAA teams

Starting this weekend, Prince Albert’s pair of AAA teams will hit the ice for their first game action under COVID-19 protocols.

The Prince Albert Northern Bears will begin their exhibition season on Sunday to begin their Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League campaign. They will be in the Battlefords to take on the Sharks on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Bears will then play at the Art Hauser Centre to take on the Saskatoon Stars on Oct. 25.

The Bears will start the regular season playing against the Stars and Sharks, before crossing over to play the four southern Saskatchewan teams in the Regina Rebels, Swift Current Wildcats, Notre Dame Hounds and the Weyburn Gold Wings after Jan. 18.

Next weekend, the Prince Albert Mintos will play a home-and-home against the Tisdale Trojans to start their Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League campaign. Both teams will play at the Art Hauser Centre on Saturday at 7 p.m. before heading to Tisdale on Sunday at 2 p.m.
