Drug bust in P.A. hotel

A 32-year-old man is facing charges after a drug bust in a local hotel Friday.

The Prince Albert Police Service Street Enforcement Team (SET), with assistance from the Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) conducted the investigation.

Andrew Hartle made his first court appearance Monday.

According to a media release, police arrested Hartle at the hotel and followed up with searches of a hotel room, vehicle and an associated residence north of Prince Albert. He’s charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and numerous other offences. P.A. police did not say which hotel it was.

Various amounts of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and pills were seized along with more than $6,000 in Canadian currency, a handgun with ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a bulletproof vest.
