Two dead after three-vehicle crash near Osler

A 79-year-old man and a 56-year-old man were killed after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 11 near Osler Thursday afternoon.

In a release, RCMP say at around 3:42 p.m. they received a report of a driver who was seen driving through a ditch and knocking over signs just north of Osler along Highway 11.

At about 3:45 p.m., a second report was received about a collision around two kilometres south of the Osler turnoff on Highway 11.

When officers arrived, they found a black truck, a tan truck and a black SUV involved in the crash.

The 79-year-old man who had been driving the black truck and was the lone occupant was located deceased on scene. The black truck was the subject of the first report.

The 56-year-old man who was driving the black SUV was also found deceased at the scene. The 22-year-old man who was a passenger in the SUV was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The 70-year-old man who was driving the tan truck, and was the lone occupant, was also taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Two Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionists attended the scene. Corman Park Police Service, Osler Fire and Warman Fire Department, Saskatoon EMS, and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service also attended the scene.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
