Regina’s Galon continues to play giant killer role at Men’s Lobstick

After squeaking into the Championship Flight in the 16^th seed, Regina’s Jason Galon continues to beat some big names at the 2020 Men’s Lobstick tournament in Waskesiu.

Galon defeated defending champion and 2017-winner Danny Klughart in the opening round on Tuesday, then beat perennial powerhouse Colin Coben in the second round to reach the final four on Wednesday.

Galon will play Tyler Zaba in the semifinals on Thursday. Zaba defeated Shawn Strelau on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday in the Championship Flight, Brad Phelps defeated Trevor Bloom and Shaun Dunphy beat Ron Swan. Phelps and Dunphy will tangle in the semifinals.

After being the top qualifier with a 68 to start the week, Danny Klughart uncharacteristically lost back-to-back games. He was upended by Jason Galon in the first round, to head down to the consolation side of the Championship Flight.

Klughart then lost his first consolation match to Mike Smith on Wednesday, to be eliminated from the tournament.
