The Prince Albert Police Service handed out multiple tickets for speeding in school zones during their traffic safety blitz earlier this month.
According to a media release, between Sept. 8 and Sept. 16 the police gave out 75 tickets as a result of speeding through school zones during the first week of school. The speed limit in school zones is 30 km/h.
Across the city the police had road safety patrols and high visibility enforcement to monitor the school zones.
U-turns are not permitted in school zones Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
