Portion of riverbank collapses
The City of Prince Albert says there is no immediate risk of further erosion, after a piece of riverbank collapsed along the Rotary Trail in the West Flat.
Parks manager Tim Yeaman told paNOW the city learned of the erosion event yesterday morning.
To keep people away from the edge, Yeaman said crews will install snow fencing and signage at the location today.
“There is no danger to the public in terms of any more slumpage,” Yeaman said. “The only danger is walking close to that area, so that’s why we just want to fence it off and remind people to stay away from there.”
