Good morning, welcome to our Chamber update for September the 14th of 2020, our upcoming event for the Prince Albert Chamber is as follows:

On September 23rd, we’re going to have our Chamber Appreciation BBQ.

In light of COVID and everything that is going on with that, we’re going to do it a little bit different. It is going to be held at the Art Hauser, and it is going to be a drive thru. If you’d like to stop and congregate after you have received your food and drink. You are more than welcome to have a tailgate party within the parking lot.

To the Provincial Government we’d like to say thank you for giving our communities $70.3 million to work with COVID and with the help to keep our communities running. Based on the documents we have reviewed, Prince Albert and area will be receiving roughly $2.6 million.

Thank you to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce for the campaign called #GoCanadaUnited.

Approximately $2 million was raised through this campaign, the applications are now open. In our last phone call with this Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce we were advised that approximately $60,000 is available for our Saskatchewan Businesses.

In regards to COVID and the Federal Government, we’ve been notified that the Commercial Real Estate Program (CECRA) has been extended by another month. It is uncertain after that how it’s going to play out but those who are in that program, please be aware that you get to apply for it for one more month.
