Agriculture Roundup for Thursday September 10, 2020
During the 2020 shipping season roughly five million metric tonnes of grain was moved through the Port of Thunder Bay.
It is a 27 per cent increase in volume compared to the same period last year.
Thunder Bay Port Authority Chief Executive Officer Tim Heney projected this year’s grain shipments should reach the 10-million tonne mark.
That would be Thunder Bay’s highest volume handled in a single year since 1997.
