Triple homicide case receives month long adjournment

Another court date has come and gone for a Prince Albert man accused of killing his parents and seven-year-old son.

Nathaniel Carrier’s attendance was waived for the brief hearing Tuesday afternoon at Prince Albert Provincial Court, and the case was adjourned to Oct. 6. The reasons for Carrier’s absence were not disclosed to paNOW.

In addition to three counts of first degree murder, Carrier has also been charged with the attempted murder of his young daughter Kendrah. All four victims were found at a property on the city’s west side last March.

Kendrah, now six-years-old, spent nearly two months in hospital before returning home at the end of May.

The funeral for seven-year-old Bentlee was held last Friday afternoon at Plaza 88 and included a special honour guard with representatives from Bentlee’s scout group, as well as Parkland Ambulance and the Prince Albert Police Service.

During the 90 minute service, Bentlee’s passions for choir and super heroes were mentioned a number of times, as well as his giant smile and eagerness to help his teachers at school.

Bentlee’s favourite song “Thunder” by Imagine Dragons was also played for those in attendance.
