Gator’s 5th Water Concert – Candle Lake

The Gator’s Water Concert started in July as a way for Gator, (owner of the Gator’s Grub Food Truck at Candle Lake) and one of her friends to celebrate their milestone birthdays in a safe socially distant setting with their friends.

They decided to have a concert with friends with the stage on the pontoon boat, and guests attending in their boats, to maintain social distancing.

The community loved the idea and the ability to attend a live entertainment event.

They wanted more, so we hosted a second one featuring local artists at the lake.

Tyler Lewis (Canadian Idol Finalist) contacted us and offered to come and perform a show, they jutted wanted someplace to perform).

That show was August 1st, and was extremely successful with well over 200 boats, and many people on shore, in the water in kayaks, canoes, floats and just dancing, estimated attendance was around 3000 people.

Two more are planned for August 15 and September 5th.
