Holbein fatal crash: police investigate alcohol as factor

Shellbrook RCMP are releasing information regarding the fatal two-vehicle crash north of Holbein Saturday.

They said their initial investigation reveals a Jeep SUV, carrying four occupants, was travelling west on White Star Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign. It collided with a Ford SUV.

A 41-year-old male passenger of the Jeep was declared deceased on scene. The 41 year old driver was arrested and later released. Alcohol is being investigated as a factor.

The other occupants of the Jeep and the driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries.
