Police and province investigating inmate’s death at Pine Grove

The Prince Albert Police Service along with the Ministry of Corrections and Policing are investigating after a female inmate was declared deceased last night.
The Pine Grove Correctional Centre inmate was declared deceased around 7 p.m. after she was found unresponsive in her cell.
A release from the province states the death is not related to COVID-19.
The death was referred to the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. Next of kin were notified.
