Three people from Prince Albert are facing some serious charges following a traffic stop in Saskatoon last Friday night.

A stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee was brought to a stop by police in the 1800 block of Ave. C N. Inside the vehicle, officers found a sawed off rifle.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman was arrested for breaching court-ordered conditions. The other two occupants, a 26-year-old man, and 21-year-old woman, were also taken into custody.

All three individuals are facing multiple firearms-related charges, as well as possession of stolen property over $5,000. Both women were also charged with Breach of Release.

paNOW has learned Brittany and Kelly Elderkin are among the accused, and both have outstanding charges in Prince Albert related to a high speed chase and shooting in the city last fall. In that incident, a man was shot outside a residence, and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Last October, police were called to the 1200 Block of 17th St .W. for a report that a man was shot outside a residence. (Nigel Maxwell/ paNOW Staff)

Three people were later arrested in the Duck Lake area, after leading police on a chase down Highway 11.

The case was spoken to briefly Tuesday afternoon at Prince Albert Provincial Court, but with word of the new charges, was adjourned to Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday for a bail hearing.
