Awareness

The province said there’s been an increase of cases in the southwest and west-central parts of Saskatchewan both on colonies and in the broader community.

There is currently a public health investigation underway to determine transmission and identify contacts.

Health officials are working with the Hutterian Safety Council, local Hutterian leaders and municipal leaders to increase testing and take precautionary measures.

With an increase of cases, there are reports of discrimination toward some Saskatchewan residents.

“This is unacceptable. Discrimination has no place in Saskatchewan,” the province said in a release.
