Visiting man goes missing in P.A.

UPDATE: The Prince Albert Police Service have announced Benoit Merasty has been found.

A man who is visiting the city has gone missing and Prince Albert Police are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

He is Benoit Merasty, 61, who is from Brochet, Man.

Police reported Tuesday that further to their media release July 11, 2020, they continue to work to locate him.

Attached is an updated photo of Merasty taken on Sunday, July 12 in Prince Albert.

Police say he was last seen leaving a residence in the 1500 Block of McIntosh Drive and was travelling on foot in the direction of the 1000 Block of 4th Street East.

Merasty was last seen wearing denim jeans, a light blue denim shirt, and sneakers. He may also have been wearing a ball cap.

He’s described as being 5’8” tall with brown eyes and short, greying hair.
