‘She was a free spirited and very loving girl’: Debden crash victim laid to rest
A funeral was held Monday afternoon on the Big River First Nation for a teenage girl struck last week by a car in the village of Debden.
In the early morning hours of July 7, 15-year-old Kaylan Keegan Lee Keenatch was walking on a road in the community near the arena. She was rushed to hospital with severe, life threatening injuries and died the following day while in care.
According to numerous Facebook posts, Keenatch was well loved.
One person wrote “you’ll always be in my heart.” Another person said “taken way too soon.”
