A man has been charged after a rollover on Saturday, July 4 killed one person.

Patrick Strong, 48, is from Saskatoon and has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and refusing to provide a breath sample. He was arrested on scene on Saturday.

Wakaw RCMP were called to a rural property after a side-by-side ATV had rolled over. An RCMP release does not say where exactly the incident occurred, but a post from Wakaw/Hoodoo Fire and Rescue said it was about 15 km east of the town.

Three people were in the vehicle when it rolled over. A 51-year-old male passenger was pronounced deceased on scene, while a 57 year old female passenger was not hurt. Strong, who was allegedly driving the side-by-side was not injured either.

Strong is set to appear in court on August 11.
