The shelves at the Prince Albert Food Bank will be filled up, thanks to a $3,200 donation from Save-On-Foods.

The money was raised during the company’s second annual Share it Forward campaign.

From June 11 to 17, 50 per cent of sales from Western Family products went to the food bank. Prince Albert store manager Levon Charter was on hand Monday for a cheque presentation.

“Our company did it for the first time last year across Western Canada and it was super successful so they decided to do it again this year. Our goal across Western Canada was to raise $300,000 and we met our goal,” he said.

All money raised in each community stayed in that community. Prince Albert Food Bank Executive Director Kim Scruby told paNOW he was very grateful for the support..

“We are expecting to become a lot busier once all the lockdowns are done with, and this is definitely going to help. Save-On-Foods is a big contributor of ours throughout the year,” he said.
