Man accused of threatening family makes first court appearance

The man who allegedly threatened to harm his family in the Tisdale area on Wednesday, June 24 has made his first court appearance.
David Guest, 37, appeared via phone on Thursday, June 25 in Melfort Provincial Court. Prosecutor Jennifer Souter said the Crown was against the release of Guest, and as such, he has been remanded into custody.
Judge Lloyd Stang adjourned the matter to Tuesday, June 30 for a bail hearing.
Guest is charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, dangerous driving, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
