The hum of activity returned to several Prince Albert businesses Monday as personal services, including nail salons and tattoo parlors re-opened their doors after 75 days of mandated closure.

Quy Dinh, owner of West Hill Nails & Spa, told paNOW appointments at the salon were already fully booked for the next week.

“When everything shut down we had no income at all,” he explained. “So now we’re very excited to see things reopen again.”

Across town at Fantasy Realm Tattooing and Piercing, tattooist Sabrina Garton was similarly happy to be back in business.

“It’s good,” she said. “It feels awesome.”

Garton explained provincial guidelines require her to suit up in a gown, with gloves, a mask and eye protection before each tattoo.

With new protocols in place, she’s glad to be back at work.

“I was going a little stir crazy,” she said.
