One of two men sought in connection to a gas and dash last fall in the Holbein area was in front of a judge Friday morning in Prince Albert seeking bail.

John Vincent Fryingpan, 27, is charged with a number of offences following the alleged incident on Aug. 13, 2019, including theft under $5,000, aggravated assault, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failure to stop, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (stolen truck).

The alleged theft occurred around 8 a.m., and in an effort to stop the suspects, the gas station employee chased after the moving vehicle and reached in to the driver’s side window. But he was ultimately shaken loose, and fell to the ground. The suspect vehicle ran over the man, breaking his leg.

Fryingpan was denied bail and is will return to court May 21.
