P.C. Party questions government zoning off of the north
The Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan is calling for the provincial government to review its policy of blocking off the north.
The party’s leader Ken Gray said in a media release that his party has been contacted by outfitters, cottage owners, and business owners who are not allowed to check in on their properties, which are not near outbreak zones.
Gray said he understands the need to isolate where infection rates are high but feels their needs to be some leeway. He cited one case where a business owner is being denied access despite being eight hours away from an outbreak site.
“In a week where fishing and hunting is officially allowed, its ironic the companies that facilitate this business off the provincial park system are not being allowed into their businesses, and cabin owners are not being allowed into their property,” he said.
