The incident happened near sixth Ave. E and sixth St. E. According to a news release Monday from police, the man was observed swinging a bag at the vehicle and was arrested on outstanding warrants as well as a new charge of mischief.

Jesse Rabbitskin, 37, has been scheduled to make his next court appearance on July 7.

Meanwhile the man who helped police make the arrest has discussed his “good deed” on Facebook, and explained he observed the man swinging a bag at vehicles, “breaking off mirrors and what not.”

He goes on to explain that when he confronted the suspect, the man tried to run but was not fast enough. The passerby then “escorted him to the ground” and held him until police arrived.
