P.A. art show prepares for online debut
The organizers of the Kyla Artist Group’s upcoming show in Saskatoon have been forced to think outside the box.
The group’s spring show, which was scheduled to take in early May at the German Cultural Centre, has been cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 protocols. So instead the group has organized its first-ever virtual show. Group chairperson Cheryl Ring said the show will launch on May 9 and will feature images of artwork in a variety of media.
“It is a consolation in that we will be out in the public, letting everybody know that we are still here,” Ring said.
The virtual show can be found on the group’s Facebook page, and is anticipated to showcase the talents of up to 20 artists. Each submission will include a description of the artist as well as a number of photos of their current work.
