Crescent Heights power outage planned: SaskPower

Residents in the Crescent Heights area are experiencing a planned power outage that started at 11 a.m. today.

SaskPower spokesperson Joel Cherry said the issue is a broken dangling crossarm on a pole and they need to get there as soon as possible to replace it.

“In order to do that safely we have to turn off the power temporarily,” he said. “The outage is going to impact about 500 customers.”

He said the outage will last two hours for 100 of the customers and the other 400 will experience two 10-minute outages.

Cherry said representatives reached out to the Mont St Joseph Home directly to make sure they are ready with their emergency backup power.
