Sask. Country Music Awards show moving to TV and online format, due to COVID-19 precautions
Country music fans will still be able to take in the 2020 Saskatchewan Country Music 31st Annual Awards Show despite the COVID-19 provincial restrictions since the entire event is moving to the virtual world.
The Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) board of directors announced Sunday the show will now be held online and on Access 7 Cable TV. The date for the event has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 16, instead of April 17 to 19.
People can tune in at 8 p.m. to Channel 7 on Access TV. The show will also be available online at scma.sk.ca.
Because the province banned gatherings of more than 10 people as a COVID-19 prevention measure, the event could not be held in person in Regina as originally planned.
