Paddock, Sawchuk recognized as All-Stars
The Western Hockey League announced it’s 2019-20 Conference Second All-Stars Monday, with Raider goaltender Max Paddock and Prince Albert native Riley Sawchuk earning recognition in the Eastern Conference.
Paddock joined the Raiders on Jan. 9 from the Regina Pats and proved to be a valuable addition as he backstopped the team to a 13-3-1-2 record. On the season, he recorded five shutouts, which tied him for second in the league, and posted a goals-against-average of 2.65 and a save percentage of .915.
Sawchuk joined the Oil Kings in a pre-season trade from the Tri-City Americans, and led the Oil Kings with 76 points (25G-51A) in 64 games, setting career highs in all offensive categories. Sawchuk finished his WHL career with 160 points in 259 career WHL games.
