Information regarding Oral Health in the COVID 19 Pandemic timeframe

Regardless of where we find ourselves, either as a parent, caregiver of elderly parents or now working from home while trying to keep children occupied, we all find ourselves in unprecedented and uncertain times. Now more than ever, we are all striving to take care of ourselves, our loved ones and our community members. For those seeking information related to your oral health during this time, please go to https://www.dentalhealth.org/blog/covid-19-our-guide-to-looking-after-yourselves-and-others-through-better-oral-hygiene Although this is a British resource, it may answer some questions that people may have.

While routine dental care and dental cleanings are currently on hold at dental clinics across the province, please call your dentist if you have any questions or emergency dental issues. For anyone that may have had an appointment for routine dental care, please ensure that you call your dentist office AHEAD of time, as they will need to rebook your appointment for a later date.

April is National Oral Health Month

The Saskatchewan Dental Therapists Association wants you to join us online during the month of April to celebrate National Oral Health Month. You’ll find fun games, videos and activities that remind us of the importance of our teeth and why we need to take good care of them. While the Prince Albert area School Based Dental Preventive Programs and Fluoride Varnish Clinics are on an indefinite hiatus, we encourage you to share these dental activities with your families. Please go to https://www.saskatoonhealthregion.ca/locations_services/Services/Oral-Health/Pages/Oral-Health-Resources-for-Preschools-and-Daycares.aspx

You will also find more resources on this website https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/taking-care-your-teeth-mouth.html

Lastly, practice social/physical distancing and wash your hands frequently. Avoid touching your face when out in public such as grocery shopping and avoid sharing your toothbrush with other family members in your home. Go to

Prince Albert Grand Council Urban Services Hampers Update (See Facebook Group Post Below) https://www.facebook.com/groups/PAGCHSD/

Unfortunately we have ran out of hampers at PA Urban Services.

A great hats off and acknowledgement to the PAGC Urban Staff.

They have certainly gone beyond the call of duty. They have delivered over 500 packages of food to date.

This is the span of 18 days. They did a great job.

Sadly without further donations they will be closing shop before the end of the week.

Please give Geoff and his staff a big thank you:
