The Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association (SSFA) has postponed the remainder of this year’s 55+ Games in Prince Albert due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a media release sent out Tuesday, the association said the decision was made based on recommendations made by both health authorities and the provincial government.

The release read in part, ‘Most important is the responsibility that we all have to ensure we do what we can to reduce the risk to ourselves, reduce the risk to our families and reduce the risk to our communities.’

The games have been rescheduled to July of 2021 The move comes as the SSFA’s national counterpart pushed the Canadian 55+ Games set to take place in Kamloops, B.C. this summer to August of 2021.
