Not many out and about as temperatures improve

Mar 22, 2020 | 3:04 PM

Prince Albert enjoyed some much warmer conditions Sunday after weeks of low temperatures and frigid wind chills. But despite a sense of isolation many may have about the COVID-19 situation, the better weather didn’t seem to inspire too much in the way of outdoor activity.

The occasional walkers – some with dogs at their side – were seen around the city’s parks, but it wasn’t a deluge. Environment Canada was calling for P.A. to have a high of plus three degrees but there weren’t that many out and about on the Rotary Trail section near the riverbank. Certainly, social distancing didn’t seem to be a challenge.

People looking to get some exercise are limited in their options as city run facilities are closed along with gyms.
