Sturgeon Lake First Nation takes COVID-19 precautions; other cancellations
Sturgeon Lake First Nation has announced the community’s school will be closing for the next two weeks and their community hall will be closed to public events. The measures are the latest in our region amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The band office, health centre and other offices will remain open, but people who come are asked to take precautions including washing their hands and using hand sanitizer.
The community’s food and gas bar will stay open and members are being encouraged to not deplete essential items. The band is also encouraging people to monitor more vulnerable people, like infants and elders.
