P.A.police roll out COVID-19 response

Mar 16, 2020 | 5:12 PM

The Prince Albert Police Service is taking a number of steps to help limit possible public exposure to COVID-19 including the temporary closure of the new downtown substation.

The building helps house several departments including bylaw, child protection, and victims services.

The public is also being encouraged to use online services for reporting crimes (property, fraud, wilful damage etc.) or for filing criminal record checks. Until further notice, criminal records checks will be offered online only. Where necessary, other arrangements can be made by calling 306-953-4223.

All non-emergent incident complaints will be handled by police over the phone. If necessary, the phone outside the front entrance of the main police station on 15th St. W. can be used to connect to police service staff at any time.
