P.A. Biz Awards postponed

Mar 13, 2020 | 4:52 PM

The Samuel McLeod Business Awards have been postponed until further notice, amid growing concerns over COVID-19.

The event was scheduled for April 2. In a press release Friday, the Prince Albert and District Chamber of Commerce confirmed the suspension off all networking events.

“By being proactive now, and suspending events in the short term, we hope this situation is mitigated quickly,” CEO Elise Hildbrandt said in a statement.

Other upcoming events getting put on hold include the Finance Minister’s luncheon March 27. Hildebrandt said anyone who purchased a ticket will be contacted on Monday to discuss a refund.

“We greatly appreciate your patience and consideration. This too shall pass and we will be better individual and businesses because of it,” she said.
