Matthis Manicke has dominating showing at Snow Slam

Matthis Manicke swept the floor of his martial arts competition at the Snow Slam Open Tournament in Yorkton on the weekend. Manicke, who is an instructor at the Kuro Tora Dojo in Prince Albert, got four first place finishes, in kata, weapon kata, point sparring and weapon sparring. He was also named as the overall Black Belt Grand Champion of the event.

Also winning medals from the Kuro Tora Dojo were Jacob Roberts, who won silver medals in kata, point sparring and weapon sparring. Kyōshi Wolfgang Manicke won first place in weapon kata, and second in kata. Hayden Kelly won second place in point sparring and third in weapon forms among green belts. Lucas Shek won second place in weapon sparring among orange belts.
