Province commits plus $300M for Prince Albert’s Victoria Hospital expansion
It has been a key wish list item for a very long time for Prince Albert, and now the provincial government has given a clear indication of the scope and the price tag for a new hospital building for the city and the growing north.
At a media event at the Victoria Hospital this morning the government said it had earmarked more than $300 million for a multi-storey addition.
The expansion will include a new acute care tower and replacement of an existing adult mental health space. General renovations to the current building will include a larger emergency department, a helipad, and enhanced medical imaging services, including an MRI.
