Mar 3, 2020 | 2:01 PM

A man facing over half a dozen charges including assault causing bodily harm, theft and break and enter is pleading not guilty on all counts.

Jonathan Meldrum, 26, was not present when the matter was discussed Tuesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. A May 22 trial date was set during the hearing.

Meldrum was one of two people charged after a series of incidents Jan. 21 in the Rural Municipality of Buckland. As many as three properties were targeted by thieves.

Community members helped assist police as they apprehended two suspects. The female suspect was found in someone’s garage, and police arrested the male suspect after tracking him for almost five kilometres. The co-accused, Jazmin Crowe, is back in court March 25.
