Two people facing charges after vehicle stop

Members of the Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) seized multiple weapons, drugs and other items after a vehicle stop on Wednesday.

According to a media release from the Prince Albert Police Service, the ICRT stopped a vehicle on suspicions a man may have been in possession of a firearm at the 1700 Block of 13^th Street West.

After an investigation officers found two firearms, multiple drugs including methamphetamine, hydromorphone (opioid for pain) and Gabapentin (anticonvulsant medication) pills, cash, ammunition, bear spray, a machete and a knife.

They also found Jamaican, American and Canadian currency.

A 40-year-old man is facing multiple firearms and weapons related charges and a 33-year-old woman is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
