The following are Volunteer Service Opportunities in Prince Albert and area for the week of February 3, 2020

The Volunteer Services Department is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fill the following service positions:

“On Call” Volunteers

Volunteers are needed for the long-term care residents on an “on-call” basis, to assist with outings, parties, social gatherings, shopping trips, taking residents to appointments, etc.

Shifts: Flexible

Patient Navigators – Day Surgery – Victoria Hospital

Patient Navigators improve the experience for surgical patients by ensuring they are in the right place at the right time.

Shifts: 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Monday – Friday

Patient Information (Greeter) – Victoria Hospital

Duties include directing patients and visitors to the various departments for treatments, tests, x-rays, or to other destinations in the hospital.

Shifts: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday

The following are Volunteer Service Opportunities in Kinistino and Birch Hills for the week of February 3, 2020.

The Volunteer Service Department is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fill the following service positions:

Recreation Opportunites – Birchview Home, Birch Hills (306) 749-3488

Responsibilities include assisting with crafts, shopping trips, special functions, exercise programs, bowling groups, horticulture, painting, baking, etc. Volunteers assist staff with set up and take down of program.

Shifts: Flexible

Special Groups or Individuals – Jubilee Lodge, Kinistino (306) 864-2851

Volunteers entertain, provide interesting educational presentations (i.e. Travel presentations), assist with special events, sing, and have fun with the residents.

Shifts: Flexible – 1 – 1 ½ hrs. Once per month

Meals on Wheels – Home Care Prince Albert, Birch Hills, Kinistino,

Adult volunteers are needed to assist with delivering meals to Home Care clients.

Shifts: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
